Thick juicy stalks grown in Holland, very delicate and tender. Similar to the thick French white asparagus though less costly. Grown under mounded earth to avoid sunlight exposure, these tender stalks emerge ivory-white, sweet and delicate. Less herbaceous and fibrous than green asparagus, they are best enjoyed simply as possible - peeled then poached or steamed until tender.
