About Lancaster Farm Fresh

Lancaster Farm Fresh Cooperative (LFFC) is a non-profit organic farmers’ cooperative of about 100 small scale farmers working 350 acres in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. They focus on creating healthy, high quality foods from their strictly maintained and enriched soils on their family farms.  LFFC delivers local organic produce, value added products, and humanely raised and pastured animal products.

LFFC was put on the map by restaurant chefs in the Philadelphia area. They became devoted customers of the cooperative, relying on it for fresh-picked, responsibly raised food products with strong flavor profiles.  Chefs were the first to understand the value of having their fresh produce supply coming from a group of truly focused farmers who live in the midst of their fields and walk them every day.  No crops are kept in storage at LFFC. After the last truck leaves their warehouse at 5:00 pm the shelves are empty – until the next morning’s harvest fills them up again.

The produce sold through LFFC is certified organic unless otherwise noted. LFFC supports farmers that are looking to make their farms sustainable while maintaining nutrient-rich soil and fertilizer programs. They also support local farms that use Integrated Pest Management (I.P.M.) techniques.  When you purchase LFFC products you can be confident that you will receive the freshest farm products, raised humanely, with consideration for the land, animals and people. Lancaster Farm Fresh Cooperative is owned by the farmers working in cooperation with each other to bring you healthy, quality foods.

Each case of LFFC produce is marked on both sides with the LLFC label distinguishing the growers’ name, town, the certification (GAP or Certified Organic) and the tracking number.

Our local organic family farms aggregating farm products and delivering to our customers is the best way we can take control of our lives and help create a positive future for us and our customers.
